At Foothills Bank, we have the honor of partnering with non-profit organizations. We do this through bank sponsorships, donations, grants, and connecting the bank’s resources to the community.
In a time of COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing, local and national nonprofits are struggling to meet their clients’ needs. Most of our local nonprofit organizations are faced with increased demand while having to cancel crucial fundraising events.
Foothills bank wanted to find a way to help our local food bank beyond the traditional “holiday can food” drive. Our Community Development Officer, Lisa Van Ella, reached out to the Yavapai Foodbank and spoke with Director Ann Wilson. She asked Ann how Foothills Bank could help and Ann mentioned their new warehouse needed to be painted. Lisa instantly saw that as an opportunity for Foothills Bank to help with a community development donation. “It is this type of opportunity in the bank can help relieve nonprofits of this type of expense; saving those funds for their “critical” mission – serving our Quad City community,” said Lisa Van Ella, Community Development Officer.
The Yavapai County Food Bank is the largest food bank in Yavapai County and distributes several tons of food each year to thousands of individuals and families living in poverty. Our community needs your help. Visit their website at www.yavapaifoodbank.org to get involved!
